European air quality information reported by EEA member countries, including all EU Member States, as well as EEA cooperating and other reporting countries. The EEA’s air quality database consists of a multi-annual time series of air quality measurement data and calculated statistics for a number of air pollutants. It also contains meta-information on the monitoring networks involved, their stations and measurements, air quality modelling techniques, as well as air quality zones, assessment regimes, compliance attainments and air quality plans and programmes reported by the EU Member States and European Economic Area countries.

Air quality annual statistics calculated by the EEA — 30 Sep 2021: The annual aggregated air quality values have been calculated by EEA based on the primary observations (time series) uploaded by countries into CDR and successfully tested by automated QC.
Assessment methods meta-data reported by countries (data flow D) — 30 Sep 2021: Assessment methods meta-data describe techniques used for measuring or modelling of air pollutant concentrations. The data in the web-based application reflect the latest reports uploaded and successfully tested by automated QC.
Air quality modelling results processed by the EEA (data flow E1b) — 30 Sep 2021: The annual aggregated values from air quality modelling have been processed by EEA to common format and projection based on the data uploaded by countries into CDR (data flow E1b) and successfully tested by automated QC. User can also reach the original (CDR) files through the tool linked below.
Air quality time series (E1a & E2a data sets) — 30 Sep 2021: These data sets have been exported from EEA’s SQL data base which stores primary validated assessment data and primary up-to-date assessment data (time series, data sets E1a and E2a, respectively) reported by countries and successfully tested by automated QC.
Air quality zones information reported by countries (data flow B and B preliminary) — 30 Sep 2021: Air quality zones information describes delimitation and type of zones and agglomerations in which the assessment and management of air quality is to be carried out. The data in the web-based application reflect the latest reports uploaded and successfully tested by automated QC.
Air quality zone geometries reported by countries (data flow B) — 30 Sep 2021: The air quality zone geometries are available in several spatial formats: ESRI Shapefile, SpatialLite, GeoPackage and GeoJSON. The data reflect the latest reports uploaded and successfully tested by automated QC.
Air quality assessment regimes reported by countries (data flow C and C preliminary) — 30 Sep 2021: This data set describes air quality assessment regimes and lists all individual sampling points and/or models applied for each pollutant within individual zones and agglomerations. The data in the web-based application reflect the latest reports uploaded and successfully tested by automated QC.
Attainments of (air quality) environmental objectives reported by countries (data flow G) — 30 Sep 2021: This data set shows the attainment status of the air quality environmental objectives set in the European legislation as delivered by countries for each pollutant within individual zones and agglomerations. It also lists all individual sampling points and/or models used for assessing each of the attainments status. The data in the web-based application reflect the latest reports uploaded and successfully tested by automated QC.
Air quality plans reported by countries (data flow H) — 30 Sep 2021: This data set shows information on air quality plans delivered by countries for zones and agglomerations where environmental objectives are not attained (see data flow G, attainment reports). The data in the web-based application reflect the latest reports uploaded and successfully tested by automated QC.
Source apportionments reported by countries (data flow I) — 30 Sep 2021: This data set shows information on source apportionments delivered by countries for each air pollutant considered in air quality plans (see data flow H, air quality plans). The data in the web-based application reflect the latest reports uploaded and successfully tested by automated QC.
Air quality scenarios reported by countries (data flow J) — 30 Sep 2021: This data set shows information on air quality scenarios delivered by countries and supporting air quality plans (see data flow H, air quality plans). The data in the web-based application reflect the latest reports uploaded and successfully tested by automated QC.
Air quality measures reported by countries (data flow K) — 30 Sep 2021: This data set shows information on air quality measures reported by countries and applied within air quality plans (see data flow H, attainment reports). The data in the web-based application reflect the latest reports uploaded and successfully tested by automated QC.
AQ e-Reporting products on EEA Data Service — 30 Sep 2021: This set of products reflects the status of air quality data collected/calculated by the European Environment Agency. It supersedes all previous versions of air quality data published by the EEA. Please read the product description document for more details.
