This policy insight, organised by Friends of Europe together with the European Environment Agency (EEA), offers a check-up on the state of our environment, taking stock of the progress made this past year and identifying key milestones to be achieved in 2025 for Europe to meet its ambitious targets. At this event organised by Friends of Europe, Leena Ylä-Mononen , EEA Executive Director, will present the key findings of a new EEA report: “Responding to climate change impacts on human health in Europe: focus on floods, droughts and water quality”, followed by a panel debate.
Tripartite Exchange Seminar 2024
Eurofound, Cedefop and the EEA are organising a Tripartite Exchange Seminar (TES) to identify the way the green, just transition is dealt with through social dialogue in European countries. It will zoom in on the impact of the green transition on industrial relations, employment, skills, and training needs at national and sectoral level and explore how the green, just transition can become a standard topic of the social dialogue agenda.
Unlocking resilience through climate and environment risk assessments
The key findings of the first European Climate Risk Assessment, published by the EEA, will be presented at this official inauguration event of the new Belgian Climate and Environment Risk Assessment Center (CERAC).
