EEA director Professor Jacqueline McGlade was awarded the gold medal from Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, on Wednesday 7 September. The award was made during the opening ceremony of the international conference EnviroInfo 2005.
The PC game Honoloko, developed jointly by the European Environment Agency and the World Health Organisation Regional Office for Europe, is launched in 26 languages on 25 August. This means that the Honoloko game is now available in all the official EU languages plus Bulgarian, Icelandic, Norwegian, Romanian, Russian and Turkish.
Gamers all over Europe can now play a pc game and learn about the environment at the same time. The European Environment Agency in Copenhagen has launched the Honoloko pc game in 26 languages. The game is available on the internet and free to use.
