Hydrogencyanid (HCN)

Term
Hydrogen cyanide is a colourless gas or liquid that has a faint, bitter, almond-like odour. Its water solution is a weak acid, commonly known as hydrocyanic or prussic acid. Hydrogen cyanide melts at 14 0C and boils at 26 0C. It is very flammable and a potentially explosive hazard on exposure to air, sources of ignition, including heat, or open flame; and when stored for long periods of time.
