The focus of the new proposal has shifted towards avoidance of F-gas use in new equipment. The core of the proposal foresees a cap on HFCs that can be sold in Europe, which will reduce HFCs in new equipment to a level of 21 % by 2030. The proposal is currently being negotiated between Council and European Parliament.
