See all EU institutions and bodies25 October 2023, online - This #WRF23 side event organised by the European Environment Agency starts from a key question: how should our monitoring for the circular economy evolve over the next decade?
EEA's role in the event
This World Resources Forum 2023 side event is organised by the EEA. Building on the current EU circular economy monitoring framework, the event will explore areas where further experimentation is needed to build new #metrics that capture the fullness of the circular transition.
Despite a growing adoption of #circulareconomy principles, practices and policies, it is still unsettled how circularity should be measured and monitored.
Without clear indicators and monitoring frameworks, however, it won't be possible to assess our progress and success in transitioning towards circular value chains.
