Heavy metals emission intensity of manufacturing industries in Europe

Note: The chart displays changes in heavy metals emission intensity of the manufacturing industry (NACE , division 10-33) between 2004 and 2010. Heavy metals emission intensity is expressed as kilogram of heavy metals equivalent discharged in water (expressed in kg of heavy metals equivalents, weighted according to toxicity) per unit of production of the manufacturing industries (expressed as one million Euro gross value added). The extreme high value for Bulgaria in 2007 (0.33 kg/million EURO GVA) is not shown in order to have better display of all countries.
