Environmental information systems
At the European Union level, we use a variety of indicators to measure the status of biodiversity.
One key indicator is the coverage of protected areas. You can see how much of your country is covered by protected areas and compare it with other European countries using this indicator. National reports related to biodiversity and EU Member State information related to indicators are available in the interactive country map on the BISE (Biodiversity Information System for Europe) platform.
