Low-input farm types are mainly concentrated in the Iberian Peninsula, on Mediterranean islands, the north and west of the United Kingdom and in central France, whereas high input farm types are predominant in the Netherlands, Belgium, south-eastern England, northern France, northern Italy and northern Greece. The low input regions are the 20 regions with the lowest average expenditure on inputs; high-input regions are the 20 regions with the highest average expenditure on inputs, and medium-input regions constitute the remainder. Information on trends in Finland, Sweden, Austria and the new Bundeslander in Germany is not available.
