Presence of Alexandrium species (bullets) and areas affected by blooms (circles) during first sampling period (March - October 2002) in the Mediterranean Sea.
1. the symbols have been added by approximation and correspond to an area and not to a point. 2. in some areas more than one species of Alexandrium occur. This is denoted as 1_2. In other words areas 1 and 2 are ONE area but two coordinates are given for better presentation on the map the same applies for the circles representing blooms.
