1950-2008
Dermersal fish are those living close to sea floor such as cod. Diadromous fish are species that live partly in the sea and partly in fresh water such as salmon and eel. Catch statistics are not available for all EU‑27 Member States throughout the period. In 1988, the catch of pelagic fish increased because data from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania were included from that year onwards. Data from Slovenia were included from 1992 onwards.
