Methodology
The data was compiled by downloading a number of Climate-ADAPT case studies from the Climate-ADAPT database (https://climate-adapt.eea.europa.eu/en/data-and-downloads/?size=n_10_n&filters%5B0%5D%5Bfield%5D=issued.date&filters%5B0%5D%5Btype%5D=any&filters%5B0%5D%5Bvalues%5D%5B0%5D=All%20time&filters%5B1%5D%5Bfield%5D=language&filters%5B1%5D%5Btype%5D=any&filters%5B1%5D%5Bvalues%5D%5B0%5D=en) by using the filter 'type of item' and the filter option 'case studies' and by using a second filter 'Adaptation sectors' and by selecting all filter options.
Additional information
Policy sectors are structured according to the Climate-ADAPT sector classification (https://climate-adapt.eea.europa.eu/en/eu-adaptation-policy/sector-policies). Most of the case studies are tagged in the database with more than one sector. Therefore, the sum of all case studies displayed in the graph (n=359) is larger than the total number of Climate-ADAPT case studies (n=128) (Climate-ADAPT 2024).
