Note: Marine and brackish aquaculture production in Europe in 2012 is shown against coastline length. The figure includes all countries (i.e. EU-28 + non-EU countries that are part of the EEA Eionet network) where production exists in marine and brackish environments.

Data is retrieved from the FAO FIGIS Data Base - Fisheries Statistical Collection: Aquaculture Produc-tion Global Aquaculture Production 1950-2012 and from World Resources Institute (Coastal and Marine Ecosystems- Marine Jurisdictions: Coastline length Units: Kilometres).
