This chart shows changes in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from fossil energy use in buildings between 2005 and 2021, by Member States, and possible further changes by 2030 according to Member State projections if only existing measures remain in place and if additional measures currently planned by Member States are implemented.

Methodology
Data are from the GHG inventories, proxy for Y-1 and projection up to 200. Adjustments have been made on the proxy and projection to adjust and match building sector of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) classification.
