Fragmentation pressure by degree of urbanisation
Chart (static)
Notes:
The graph shows the area distribution of fragmentation classes (number of meshes per 1000 km2) within cities, towns and suburbs, and rural areas. The graph was created by spatial overlay of the fragmentation dataset of five classes (very low, low, medium, high, very high) with the urbanisation dataset of three classes (cities, towns and suburbs, rural areas).
The area of fragmentation classes is expressed proportionally to the total area of each urbanisation class.
Fragmentation pressure classes express the number of meshes per 1 000 km2.
